A routine police response to a reported neighborhood dispute took a dangerous turn late at night when an enraged 51-year-old man allegedly attacked a police officer and then pulled out a knife while officers attempted to arrest him.
According to information announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred last night in the village of Cherni Vrah. Police were called to the area after a report concerning a quarrel between neighbors was received through the emergency number 112.
The call was made at approximately 10:30 p.m., prompting authorities to immediately dispatch a police patrol to the reported address. What initially appeared to be a typical neighborhood conflict quickly became more serious when the officers arrived and attempted to calm the situation.
Police Respond to a Neighbor Dispute
When the uniformed officers reached the scene, they began working to bring the argument under control. Their initial objective was to stop the conflict and prevent the situation from escalating further.
However, during the intervention, the 51-year-old man from Dalgodeltsi allegedly became aggressive toward the officers. According to the authorities, he punched one of the police officers in the face.
