## 7. Difficulty Swallowing
ALS can weaken muscles involved in swallowing.
Early signs might include:
* Coughing during meals
* Choking more easily
* Difficulty swallowing certain textures
* Food feeling harder to move through the throat
* Taking much longer to finish meals
