My husband splashed champagne over my dress at his promotion gala to introduce his mistress.

Six years of a woman leaving the house in the morning to go and be somebody her husband had never met.

He was shallow and he was ashamed of where I came from and he said a dozen things to me over six years that I will not be putting in writing.

And he was also married to a woman who was lying to him in a sustained, structural, professionally advised way about who she was, every day, from 2019 to 2025.

Both of those are true, and for eleven months I have been trying to work out whether one of them made the other inevitable, and I do not think it did, and I am not completely sure.

Linnea.

She is twenty-nine.

Her job — group operations coordinator — was created in the October of 2025, four weeks after his promotion, by him, with a salary band he set.
